ABOUT

ECMTA

(Elder Conservatorium Music Theatre Association)

Getting to know you, getting to know all about you...*

In 2019, a Bachelor of Music Theatre was introduced at the University of Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium of Music. The course’s inaugural cohort, the Class of 2021, were aware of the challenges that they would face upon graduating and entering the industry: that everything from head-shots to showreels to travelling for auditions would pose a financial strain to a recent music theatre graduate. The Class of 2021 saw fit to found an organisation whose purpose would be to fundraise over the course of their studies and financially support the program’s graduates, and in 2019 the Elder Conservatorium Music Theatre Association was born.

In addition to the organisation’s fundraising aims, the ECMTA also serves to promote the interests of ECMT students, foster a strong working relationship between students and the University of Adelaide’s Faculty of Arts, and to support ECMT students in their study, social activities, welfare and future careers.

By supporting ECMTA, you’re supporting the next generation of Music Theatre performers to enter the Australian Arts Industry

ECTMA is wholly student led and operated, holding events throughout the calendar year to fundraise in support of our upcoming graduates.
